A small note of thanks
The Bridge Studio is only 4 months old and is already a success!
I decided to start this substack in April 2024, right after (or rather during) the Gatlinburg Regional. Four months later, we have over 450 members. Your support helps me to play, think, and write about bridge. I was thinking of ways to show my gratitude to the readers and decided upon a monthly free game.
Here is how it will work:
This is open to all members, paid or unpaid. I will however give a big weight in the draw to paid subscribers (the equivalent of each paid subscription being worth 15 numbers in my little “lottery”).
Once a month I will play a game (ACBL 18 deals tournament) with the winner of this lottery. Winners become ineligible for a repeat win in the next 12 months, unless they are subscribers. We will arrange the best date and time through emails. And I will post one article about our exploits.
At the beginning this will be restricted to online games, but if I am attending a Regional/National and it is convenient for both me and the winner, we can transform the online game into a free live session in a pair game.
I’ll draw the first winner around Aug 15th, and plan on doing it monthly around the 15th from now on.
